  • The department started as a General course in 1985. Honours course was initiated in 2019.
  • The department provides access to a Seminar Library.
  • The department conducts State and National level seminars throughout the academic session.
  • The department encourages students for participating in different academic programmes and cultural activities.
  • The students after passing out can study Post-Graduation, or can appear for competitive exams like NET, SET, School Service Commission and College Service Commission.
